DoxxingDoxxing (i.e. the posting or distribution of personal private information like SSNs, Tax Returns, Drivers License numbers, and other information no other person is privileged to possess is DOXXING. The use or dissemination of any information, private or public, including but not limited to address, phone numbers, and employment information about any individual(s) is a violation of the SCA Code of Conduct and the SCA Bullying and Harassment Policy. Doxxing is also against the law in a number of jurisdictions. Furthermore, Doxxing may likewise be actionable as an Invasion of Privacy which may result in a civil suit and monetary damages.

False Reports and Retaliation
It is expected that all reports be submitted in the spirit of honesty, accuracy, and genuine concern for the safety of our community. If a report is deemed meritless and malicious in intent, the person(s) submitting the report will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including formal sanction. Retaliation against anyone reporting an incident of harassment and/or bullying is a violation of the SCA Harassment and Bullying policy and will result in disciplinary action, up to and including formal sanction.

When posting content, all participants should recognize that: a. Comments posted online are available immediately to a wide audience, b. material posted online effectively lasts forever and may be copied without limit, c. others may view material posted online out of context or use it for an unintended purpose, d. liking, sharing or commenting on a post may be regarded as endorsing the content or author, e. platforms or channels’ security settings may not protect or keep material private Participants must not make comments on social media: a. on behalf of SCA Inc., except where they are authorized to represent SCA Inc., b. affecting their ability to fulfil any official SCA duties in an impartial manner, c. damaging to the integrity or reputation of the Society. (This does not include reasonable criticism.) No person using a profile connected to the SCA may publish content on Social media that is: a. Bullying, abusive, harassment, or hate speech, b. Endangering or threatening the safety or well-being of others. |
